The Federal University of Petroleum Methods – Centre for Sustainable Development (FUPRE-CSD) has termed for far more stakeholders’ partnership and involvement on troubles of weather adjust and energy transition.
The call was built in a statement issued in Asaba, the Delta Condition capital, on Monday, April 15, 2024, by Dr Emeka Elemike, FUPRE Centre Director, and Mr Okezi Odugala, Deputy Director/External Partnership Liaison, FUPRE-CSD.
The centre reiterated its determination to alter the nation’s narratives by driving modern investigation and capacity constructing on the United Nations Sustainable Advancement Goals (SDGs) and Africa Union Sustainable Improvement Agenda 2063.
According to the centre, of significance is the implementation of UN-SDGs 17, which phone calls for partnership among government, civil societies and the private sector to deliver sustainable improvement globally.
To this stop, it declared its forthcoming third roundtable on sustainable enhancement, themed: “Climate Adjust and Electrical power Transition – Get or Discomfort?”

The roundtable, it says, is envisioned to proffer sustainable methods for societal effectively-staying.
To widen its spheres of operations, the centre shall be launching its FUPRE Eco-Inexperienced Marketing campaign with an emphasis on tree planting.
The centre reported this would enable to mitigate the outcomes of weather alter.
The roundtable is slated for April 22.
